I received my Master of Science as a Physician Assistant in 2011, and after practicing both inpatient and outpatient for a few years I began to feel as though I was helping very few people truly get well. At the same time my personal holistic health journey began during my pregnancy and early years as a young mom. As my personal journey in healthy eating and whole body nutrition developed, I continued my studies towards integrative nutrition and whole person wellness. I studied with the Institute for Functional Medicine and practiced as a Physician Assistant in a Functional Medicine practice while furthering my studies in nutrition through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
As a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach I bring my knowledge of physical disease processes and mental health and combine it with my passion for whole body wellness. I believe that our relationship with food is central to our overall health and well-being, and developing a healthy relationship with food and eating is a vital step in managing chronic disease and mental health. I work with both individual clients as well as small groups as we set attainable goals and explore together a path towards optimal health and well-being.
I also strongly believe that our relationship with food starts from a very early age, and as a mom of a young daughter, I bring my knowledge and passion for nourishing the whole family into my work. I offer classes as well as private sessions specifically designed for children and families looking to develop healthy habits and a love of healthy foods during a time when disordered eating in our society surrounds us. We work closely together to make small steps in establishing attainable goals towards an overall healthy relationship with food and eating lifestyle.
